New York is truly a city without sleep. Do you have some interest in history, and you are in New York? If your answer is in yes then I have a good idea to improve your knowledge to read below my research about New York. I have set a list of the Museum of the city of New York, which is really good to make your mind to visit this beautiful city.

There are hundreds of exciting things to do in New York every day. A social suburb that connects with some of the most popular tourist attractions in the United States means that there are things to do in New York that everyone wants.

The remarkable state of New York has many places to offer all travelers. The big-block provides all the historical sites, the best clubs and pubs, good shops, luxury hotels, and educational institutions to provide.

New York attractions have much to discover in one day. A weekend is not enough to enjoy real life in and around New York.

MoMA PS1

MoMA PS1 is on number 1 on my list of Museum of the city of New York. It is not a classic art museum. The MoMA PS1 system is installed in a magnificent building of the former Renaissance Revival public school in Long Island City, Queens, and admires its collection.

All kinds of avant-garde contemporary art are exhibited, with a collection of more than 200,000 permanent pieces, including James Turrell and Ai Weiwei. Looking at people can be as beautiful as art since the creations of the whole city come here to be inspired.

The Noguchi Museum

The intimate and meditative Museum of Long Island City was designed and built by Isamu Noguchi himself. Here, his almost abstract sculptures and often copied paper lamps are displayed on two levels of the exhibition space and in a quiet walled garden covered with ivy.

The Cloisters

The Cloisters got the position two in my list of Museum of the city of New York. Located in Fort Tryon Park in northern Manhattan, the Met Cloisters is a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the only Museum in the United States dedicated exclusively to medieval art and architecture.

The building views the Hudson River and contains five old schools in the structure of a modern museum, creating a historical and contextual context to exhibit works of art.

New-York Historical Society

Founded in 1804, the Historical Society of New York is the first Museum in New York City and today houses a collection that has gone from paintings and watercolors to the bed of George Washington Della Valle to about 1.6 million works.

Forge The Museum’s main restaurant is also worth a visit: be sure to visit the historic salami and lobster cafe.

New Museum

Although the Neues Museum was founded in 1977, it attracted attention in 2007 when it opened the Bowery site, a seven-story building that looks like blocks overlapping each other.

The Museum contains everything that is contemporary and modern in all media and defends less known artists.

The exhibits can be unpredictable, and their fun is often too subjective, but that is part of what makes the Museum dynamic, exciting, and diverse.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Thanks to innovative exhibits and an extensive permanent collection, the Met has been a cultural center of New York for almost a century and a half.

With its Gothic-Renaissance building, its steps, and its location in Central Park, the building is a magnet.

However, enter your great hall as an unstoppable parade of museum visitors that move from here to there, and you will feel an exceptional sensation of the possibilities and discoveries that extend across these borders.

If you have limited time or compatriots with a few hours of attention, start with the Temple of Dendur, a very high Egyptian temple from 2000 years ago.

Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum

Located in a Georgia building since 1902 on the Upper East Side, it is worth visiting both the collection and the building itself, which is one of the most beautiful residences of the golden age.

The collection covers centuries and includes everything related to design, from furniture and metal to sculptures, musical instruments, and ceramics.

It is also less under the radar of its larger neighbors like Guggenheim and the Met, which means that most are not crowded.

Rubin Museum of Art

It will be not fair if I will not add the Rubin Museum of Art in the Museum of the city of New York. The Rubin Museum in the Manhattan neighborhood of Chelsea dedicated to the art of the Himalayas and India.

Rubin’s collection spanning 1,500 years and 38,000 exhibits is a complete and incomparable immersion in the art of the Himalayas.

It consists of sculptures, paintings, installations, and repairs of pictures on the walls of the Tibetan Lukhang temple.

The fascinating temporary exhibitions show, for example, the documentation of the summer photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson of India or ceremonies, agricultural and naturalistic festivals in the Kathmandu valley in Nepal.

National Museum of the American Indian New York

The National Indian Museum, located in an old customs office at the southern tip of Manhattan, is devoted to protecting and giving the stories of more than 1,200 indigenous cultures in America.

The collection includes ceremonial objects with pearls and feathers, traditional works of art in wood and bone, huge detailed garments. There you will see Everyday objects such as baskets, ceramics, and utensils, as well as photographs and other archival materials.

American Museum of Natural History

The American Museum of Natural History (New York) is one of the best natural history museums in the world, four blocks from the city in front of Central Park.

All aspects of the natural world are represented here, from an extensive collection of taxidermies to representations of Indian tribal life to an entire room dedicated to marine life, including a life-size model of a giant blue whale.

The crown jewel is the dinosaur floor with a deposition of the Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton that dominates the room.

Usually, there are two special exhibits of all time, including current exhibits. Such as a complete and disturbing exhibition that deals with human senses and understanding and a deep immersion in the world of mummies.

That’s why the American Museum of Natural History is on the last position at the list of Museum of the city of New York.
