When we talk about the best island to visit in Hawaii, there is no wrong choice to choose a Hawaiian island. Everything is naturally beautiful, everyone has a beautiful beach, and everyone receives their guests with a sweet “aloha” spirit, where the islands are known.

However, there are essential differences between each island, and even if there is not a single island in Hawaii, this could be the best one for you.

Oahu is one of the top best island to visit in Hawaii. There are about one point four million people in Hawaii, most of them on Oahu. The capital, Honolulu, houses the best luxury shops, restaurants and nightclubs on the island.

Waikiki is the heart of the action. Here, you can go to the beach the same day, buy the new Gucci sunglasses and try the Japanese-Hawaiian fusion cuisine of chef Roy Yamaguchi.

Oahu also has a quieter side. Leave Honolulu and discover the calm waves in the northern coastal villages and the green mountains of the windward (east) coast.

Movie buffs and adventurers must stop at Kualoa Ranch, where they can ride horses, quads or visit dozens of movies, including Jurassic Park and 50 First Dates. For more ideas, check out the eight best Oahu activities outside Honolulu.

Maui is the second-largest of the Hawaiian Islands. It has been a conference venue for many years, as it has something for everyone: golden beaches, waterfalls, a relaxing nightlife, championship golf and many outdoor adventures, hiking trails.

You can try many of these attractions along the rugged Hana road, one of the best ways in the world.

Do you want to go on the beach and relax during your vacation, you can do it in famous tourist sites like Kaanapali and Wailea. But the most active travellers will find countless things to do on Maui.

When you make a decision then must go to Haleakala National Park to see the sunrise from the top of a volcano, then take an exciting 42km bike ride to the base.

Snorkelling sea turtles and lava arches are mostly living on the small island of Molokini. Come in winter to observe migratory humpback whales. Or visit the numerous farms and plantations of Maui to try local foods such as coffee, dragon fruit and chocolate.

If you walk kilometres and kilometres of lush vegetation with every conceivable vegetable, it is not difficult to see Kauai with the nickname of the garden.

Only about 20% of the island is accessible on foot or by road. The rest is a dense tangle of cliffs, primitive forests and mountain baths. Take a helicopter to enjoy the best views of the most remote lands of Kauai.

But there is also much to do in the world. Head to the west side of the island, where viewpoints and trails offer spectacular views of Waimea Canyon, a deep and vibrant gorge often compared to the Grand Canyon.

On the street to the right is Koke State Park, where you will find the exclusive Neapolitan coast of Kauai and the Kalalau Valley. Another indispensable place is the north coast.

Here you will find the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge, home of red lettuce and machetes, and Kauapea Beach, vibrant and pristine growth of golden sand just a few steps from the hill. If you want some more information & ideas, check out the top activities in Kauai. Therefore I have placed it on position three in my list of best island to visit in Hawaii.

Lanai only sees a small part of the tourists who visit the four most famous islands, and this is part of the attraction. During most of the 20th century, Dole was used exclusively for the cultivation of Dole pineapple.

However, Lanai’s primary source of income today is the small but growing tourism industry. Almost 98% of the island, including two Four Seasons resorts, is owned by billionaire Larry Ellison.

Why we love Moloka’i: Hawaiian roots are deeply rooted in Moloka’i, often called “friendly island.” Visitors to the Hawaiian Islands, looking for a quiet retreat after staying in a populated area for a few days, should point to Moloka’i on the holiday card.

With only 62 km long and 16 km wide, Moloka is known for its Kalaupapa National Park and the highest cliffs in the world, which often produce natural falls after heavy rains.

A hotel and some holiday homes are accommodations on the virgin island that offer a feeling of escape, nostalgia and tranquillity.

Head south to the west coast and stop at Hapuna Beach Park, the largest white-sand beach on the island, before reaching the Kona district, where Hulihee Palace is located.

Night excursions from the port of Honokohau allow guests to experience one of Kona’s most memorable experiences: diving and running.

When you leave Kona, go to the south-south region of the island, Kau. It is known as one of the most famous beaches in the state, Punaluu Black Sand Beach.

South Point, the southern tip of the United States, attracts hundreds of people every day to jump from the famous ravine (don’t worry, there is a rope ladder that you can climb!). This is another strong point of Kau, not to mention the Hawaii Volcanoes, National Park.

If this island of Hawaii is your favourite destination, pack your bags for all seasons. Due to the protective impact and height of the five volcanoes that make up the island of Hawaii, visitors can expect four different climates in the world, from tropical humidity to the polar tundra.
